About Us

We're a community of journalists, editors, producers, content creators, and media professionals who care about where Ukraine is headed — and how we tell that story. We focus on sustainability, smart consumption, energy efficiency, clean energy, ecology, and green transformation. We cover topics like democracy, inclusivity, modern infrastructure, utilities, and European integration — because they shape real lives. Together, we’re working toward a greener, more responsible Ukraine that’s fair and forward-looking, built to last — for us and the generations to come.

Green Growth Communications (GGC)

is a non-governmental organization officially registered in May 2024. However, our origins date back to 2019 when the TV Club journalists’ community was formed as part of the IFC project "Energy Efficiency in the Housing Sector." This early initiative united journalists covering energy efficiency reforms, gender, and ownership rights, laying the foundation for what would become a dynamic institution.

Our Mission

Our mission is to build bridges between media professionals, civil society, decision-makers, and businesses. We believe in synchronization and coordination. We learn together, research audiences, and study the broader context to ensure impactful, fact-based journalism that unites rather than divides.

Our Vision

We recognize the critical need for high-quality, fact-based, and responsible journalism in Ukraine’s transformation. GGC understands, respects and loves our country and its diverse audiences. We know how to communicate complex issues in a simple, engaging way.

We are committed to fostering a media environment that empowers informed decision-making and strengthens Ukraine’s sustainable future.

Our Community

For us, a journalist is a committed ally of change leaders—someone who understands the essence, significance, and complexity of the challenges facing Ukraine. A journalist also respects, understands, and values the trust of their audience. We stand against populism, misinformation, and paternalism while always being ready to assist, advise, and demonstrate the personal impact of sustainable development for every Ukrainian.

We welcome colleagues who share our values and vision. GGC offers a network of professionals who know the Ukraine they want to live in and the country they want to leave for their children. Every day, we strive to bring these standards closer to reality. We provide our members with experience, guidance, training, and additional resources to support their work.

GGC joining Build Ukraine Back Better platform

Green Growth Comms is proud to join the Build Ukraine Back Better platform — an informal exchange space that has united over 50 non-governmental organizations from Ukraine and across Europe since 2022. The platform promotes a vision of Ukraine’s reconstruction rooted in sustainability, climate resilience, and alignment with the European Green Deal. By joining this network, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting green, inclusive, and forward-looking recovery efforts.

As a media-focused NGO, Green Growth Comms amplifies voices that shape public understanding of green recovery. Through our storytelling, partnerships with journalists, and support for civic engagement campaigns, we aim to ensure that environmental priorities and community-driven solutions remain at the heart of Ukraine’s rebuilding narrative.

Activities

Our focus is empowering journalists to fight misinformation and deliver fact-based information.

We are volunteers, implementing various activities resources allow.

Journalists Club

Our flagship project is the TV Club journalists’ community, founded in May 2019. Currently, the Network unites 194 media professionals interested in sustainable development, energy efficiency, quality of life, climate adaptation, conscious consumption, and participatory urban development. We are reaching millions via online and TV presence.

Competitions

Whenever resources allow, we organize internal competition for the best article from within the topics that are of interest for our members. This project is not only to give away prize, but even more so about helping media professionals to develop by providing comments to enlisted articles or programmes.

Events

We organize high-level events connecting journalists with decision-makers. Many of them are under Hattam House roles to allow for free exchange of ideas. We are also building bridges between media professionals, civil society and business.

Study trips

Study trips to various locations in European Union, allow media professionals to get firsthand understanding of technologies and solutions which will be crucial in reconstruction and transformation of Ukraine to carbon-neutral.
